Brig. Gen. Charles Veit, assistant adjutant general for the West Virginia National Guard, was presented the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award on Oct. 3, 2014, at the West Virginia Cultural Center on the Capitol Complex in Charleston, WV. The Distinguished Eagle Scout Award was established in 1969 to acknowledge Eagle Scouts who have received extraordinary national-level recognition, fame, or eminence within their field, and have a strong record of voluntary service to their community.
