Eagle Scout Hopeful Gets Blackhawks Motor Running

In the realm of Eagle Scout service projects, Garret W. is born to be wild. He’s restoring a 1972 Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycle in a Blackhawks motif and donating it to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana for a charity auction.

Eagle Scout Service Projects Go Full Throttle

Eagle Scout service projects challenge Scouts striving for Scouting’s highest rank to spearhead community-focused initiatives and display leadership in executing the steps required to complete these projects.

In true 21st century Scout fashion, young men like Garret are getting creative for a cause in their service projects (think motorcycle revamps, EDM concerts, and filmmaking). Read more about what inspired Garret to get innovative by heading to the Daily Herald and checking out the video on his unique project below.
