Scouts’ Cardboard Campout Ignites Awareness for Homeless

BSA Troop 119 of Grand Island, NE, has been making a tradition out of an atypical campout, involving duct tape and cardboard shelters. This is not the way Scout campouts usually go, but the sentiment carried by the event is perfectly aligned with Scouting values.

“We’re doing a Box Campout which raises awareness for homeless people, we’ve been doing it for about four years,” Life Scout Ian W. told NTV ABC.
