The 2026 National Jamboree provided Scouts from across the country with unforgettable opportunities to build confidence, learn new skills, and challenge themselves through Scouting America’s Range & Target Activities program. As the Presenting Range & Target Activities Program Sponsor, The 1791 Foundation helped make these experiences possible, supporting one of Jamboree’s most popular program areas and contributing to more than 32,000 individual program experiences throughout the event.
Held in a safe, structured environment under the supervision of trained instructors and volunteers, the Range & Target Activities program provided Scouts with foundational skills while emphasizing responsibility, discipline, and safety. The program helped young people build confidence through hands-on learning and achievement while gaining practical knowledge of proper handling techniques and a deeper respect for safety protocols and outdoor traditions.
Throughout the Jamboree, Scouts participated in a variety of age-appropriate activities that encouraged focus, patience, and personal growth. Whether experiencing range activities for the first time or refining existing skills, participants were challenged to set goals, develop new capabilities, and celebrate accomplishments alongside fellow Scouts from across the nation.

A highlight of the Jamboree was the presence of the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Great American Expedition flag. Launched in June through the Department of the Interior’s Freedom 250 initiative, the Great American Expedition celebrates America’s public lands, waters, outdoor heritage, and the people who steward them. As the flag traveled to communities and organizations across the country, it served as a symbol of the shared commitment to conservation, outdoor recreation, and preserving America’s natural and cultural resources for future generations.
The Great American Expedition’s stop at the National Jamboree highlighted the strong connection between Scouting and the nation’s outdoor heritage. For more than a century, Scouting America has helped young people develop an appreciation for the outdoors, public lands, conservation, and responsible stewardship. The visit of the expedition flag recognized the role Scouts and Scouters continue to play in helping care for and celebrate America’s natural treasures.
The milestone of more than 32,000 experiences delivered during the Jamboree, including over 1,500 first-time experiences, demonstrated both the popularity of the program and its impact on participants. For many Scouts, the Range & Target Activities area became a place to overcome challenges, discover new interests, and gain confidence through hands-on achievement.
As the 2026 National Jamboree brought together thousands of Scouts, leaders, and volunteers for a celebration of adventure, leadership, service, and fellowship, support from partners such as The 1791 Foundation played a vital role in creating transformative experiences.
